Troubleshooting NexusDB Server Issues

If the Server does not appear

  1. Click the green + icon to add a new record.
  2. Enter 127.0.0.1 for the Server Name
  3. Enter 127.0.0.1 for the IP Address
  4. The Hostname should be left blank
  5. Choose LAN / WAN for the Location
  6. Click the Connect to Selected Server
  7. Verify Connectivity

If the software can’t connect to the server:



  1. Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter

  2. Locate NexusDB Server V3

  3. If not running, right-click > Start


  4. Attempt to run Shasta Software again


Still not working?

  1. Stop the NexusDB service by following the steps above

  2. Navigate to C:\ProgramData (you may need to show hidden files)

  3. Delete the NexusDB3 folder

  4. Restart the NexusDB Server and try again
